ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL

The Fellowship Class

is our largest class with about 50 members on the roll.  We study books of the Bible as well as discussions of contemporary issues.  The class is taught by nine different teachers on a rotating basis allowing for different perspectives on the material studied.  We warmly welcome all who would like to join us for a cup of coffee and fellowship as we learn and grow together.  This class meets on the ground floor of building B in the Fellowship Classroom.

Fall 2017 Study—It has been 500 years since Martin Luther posted his “95 Theses” on the wall of his church to begin what has become to be known as the Reformation. The Fellowship Class is going to study this important milestone of the protestant church by studying the book, “The Protestant Reformation” by Donald McKim.

Roads & Anchors Class

We are a class of people made of a variety of ages and stages with diverse opinions. Discussions are usually lively. We use an assortment of mostly contemporary materials, some with a video component. We seek to support one another in our journey of discipleship. New members are always welcome. The class meets downstairs in Building “B.”

Fall 2017 Study—The Roads and Anchors class subscribes to a web-based series called “The Wired Word”. Each week, the Wired Word sends out a Sunday School lesson based on an event that has made the headlines over the past week. Each study describes the event, asks “The Big Questions” about the event, and provides Scriptural references that are related to the event so that we can understand the event in the context of our religious beliefs.

Crossroads Class

This is an intergenerational class consisting of adults studying different books of the Bible. We welcome all who would like to join us. The class meets on the ground floor of Building “B.”

Fall 2017 Study–This group is practicing a form of “lectio divina” where a passage of scripture is read and reflected upon. The method is called the “Word/ Share/ Prayer” program, and provides a structured way to understand and apply scripture to the spiritual nourishment of the class.

Men: Lanterns

Lanterns meets every Friday morning at 6:45 in the Fellowship classroom. This is a group of men who desire to grow in their relationship with the Lord through Bible study and fellowship. The Lanterns have a light breakfast and meaningful discussion before the workday begins.
