Proverbs 22:6 NIV

For Children

Our care for children begins as soon as they are born. A nursery, staffed by two childcare workers, is offered during Sunday School and Worship, as well as other congregational events.

Age appropriate Sunday School is offered for ages 2 1/2 and up.

A nursery is provided during all worship services for infants and toddlers (0-3 years old). Generally older children (4 years old to 1st grade) attend the first part of the worship service. After a brief sermon designed especially for them, a children’s leader will escort them to Children’s Church or they may return to sit with their parents for the remainder of the service.

Shortly after beginning 2nd grade, children participate in a Worship Readiness class that prepares them to participate in the entire worship service with the rest of the congregation.

Elementary age children also have fellowship and learning opportunities once a month, as well as other special events during Advent, Lent and the summer.

When a child is baptized in the Presbyterian Church, members of the congregation promise to be involved in the child’s Christian nurturing. Through a variety of programs, dedicated adults take serious this promise, by providing children in the congregation the tools required for understanding what it means to be The Church.
