We have seven ministries to lead the work of Seven Oaks. Five of these are responsible for working within a particular area of "purpose." The remaining two ministires support the work of the other five. The five "purpose-driven" ministries are:
Worship
SOPC Purpose supported: Worshipping in the presence of God
Description of responsibilities: Oversees the worship life of the church, including choirs, worship space and paraments, funerals and weddings, distribution of Communion to shut-ins.

Discipleship
SOPC Purpose supported: Nurturing the spiritual growth of believers
Description of responsibilities: Oversees Sunday school, children’s and youth fellowship, Koinonia programming, confirmation, and other educational matters that relate to development as disciples. Also oversees the kindergarten ministry.

Fellowship and Care
SOPC Purpose supported: Building a common life together
Description of responsibilities: Provides for fellowship opportunities for members (various church meals and socials, retreats) and provides care for those members who are hurting or needy, as well as helping members assimilate and stay connected and involved.

Good News
SOPC Purpose supported: Sharing the gospel of salvation in Jesus Christ with others
Description of responsibilities: Works to share the Gospel with non-believers, to equip members to do so in their personal lives, and to draw new members into Seven Oaks. Also works to promote SOPC’s visibility in the community, especially as a resource that seeks to meet community needs of all kinds.

Missions
SOPC Purpose supported: Showing God's mercy to those in need.
Description of responsibilities: Coordinates the provision of church resources (time and money) to people and communities in need, both locally and globally.

Administration
Description of responsibilities: Supports the other ministries of SOPC through accounting, budgeting, personnel, policy and other administrative functions.

Building and Grounds
Description of responsibilities: Supports the other ministries by ensuring that church buildings and grounds are well-maintained, welcoming, and suitable to their function.
