Church Night Suppers are held each month on the third Sunday of the month. The programs vary from month to month, but always provide an opportunity for fun and fellowship!

Savvy Seniors is a wonderful opportunity to meet and be involved with a group of Seven Oaks members who get together for programs, trips, and lunch. Watch for announcements regarding meetings and special acitivites throughout the month.

Suppers of Eight meet once a month from January through April and singles and couples get together to enjoy a meal in the home of another member. Each participant hosts once and participates three additional times. It's always good food and great conversations.

Cookies and Conversation
Come join us each Sunday immediately after worship for delicious cookies and stimulating conversation in the Fellowship Hall.

Congregational Retreats are wonderful opportunities to get to know fellow church members. You will enjoy fellowship with your family as well as your church family. Retreats can be overnight at Trinity Presbytery's Camp Fellowship in Greenwood, S.C. while others are day retreats that take place closer to home. No matter where they take place, you are sure to enjoy the fun and fellowship!

Seasonal Activities and Events

LENT & EASTER
Plan to participate in all of the special events of this season. You may also want to become involved in the planning and implementation of the various events.
HOLY WEEK/EASTER SERVICES: Beginning with services on Palm Sunday, the Holy Week journey continues throughout the week with special services such as Maundy Thursday Service, Good Friday Service and Easter Sunday.
EASTER EGG HUNT: An Easter egg hunt is planned for the Saturday before Easter each year. Children of all ages participate and people of all ages enjoy fellowship as they plan, prepare and participate in this very special event.
EASTER MORNING BREAKFAST: A traditional breakfast is served on Easter morning.
FLOWERING CROSS: Flowers are brought and placed on the Flowering Cross by church members and visitors between Sunday school and Church. Pastries, coffee and juice are served as both young and old gather during this very special time in the life of the church.

THANKSGIVING
Seven Oaks joins with McGregor Presbyterian Church the Tuesday before Thanksgiving each year. The service is held one year at Seven Oaks with McGregor’s minister preaching and their choir director leading the combined choirs and vice versa the next year.

ADVENT & CHRISTMAS
Many events take place during this special season. Many activities contribute to making each Christmas an inspiring celebration of our Savior’s birth.
ADULT CHRISTMAS PARTY: Each December, Seven Oaks members gather at City Art in the Vista – downtown Columbia, for a Christmas Party. This event offers a time to be with very special people – our church family – at a very special season of the year. This is a wonderful opportunity to get to know people in the congregation better.
ADVENT EVENT: A special Advent Event takes place at the December Church Night Supper on the third Sunday Night of December with dinner and singing for everyone.
SPECIAL MUSIC: Music enhances the celebration of every season with the highlight being the presentation of special Christmas music by the Chancel Choir at one of the worship services during the Advent season.
CHRISTMAS EVE SERVICES: On this holy night, members, families, and friends can gather for worship at either a children’s focused or traditional service. Carol singing, beautiful music and inspired preaching bring glory to God and lead us in our worship of the Christ Child.
PAGEANTS AND PLAYS: Pageants and plays may be a part of the Advent Season offering opportunities to participate for all ages.

Are you interested in starting or belonging to a club? Just check with the office and make sure we don't already have one that interests you -------and then start clubbing!

The Lanterns (Mens Prayer Breakast) meets at 6:45 a.m. on Friday mornings. The Lanterns have a light breakfast and meaningful discussion before the workday begins. The group meets in the Fellowship Sunday School classroom.
