PRAYER

PRAYER

A central part of our church’s life revolves around prayer. We believe that Christ’s followers are called to support each other in prayer. In order to fulfill this high calling we have several ways in which we pray for each other.  Beyond our worship services, there are three regular ways the ministry of prayer is practiced in the life of Seven Oaks …

PRAYER CHAIN

The Prayer Chain
is made up of member volunteers who are divided into groups to pray regularly for members with special needs. A coordinator starts the chain, which continues until everyone is contacted. Prayer requests are made through the church office.

PRAYER LINKS

“Everyone Prayed for by Name Everyday” – Seven Oaks Presbyterian Church strives to be a church where every member is prayed for by name everyday. Members receive a name each month in their monthly newsletter listing a church family to pray for during that month and are encouraged to pray for their prayer links each day. A few minutes each day to pray for someone is a blessing and there are no special skills required – the Lord hears all of our prayers no matter how they are spoken or thought. You are encouraged to call your prayer link or send them a note letting them know that you are praying for them.

PRAYER TEAM

The prayer team meets on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month at 4:30pm in Pastor Rhode’s office.  During this time, the team responds to prayer requests and prays for particular members of the church, as well as their families and friends.  New members are welcome to join the team or to sit in and pray with them.
