Senior High Youth (SOY) Fellowship

The Senior High youth (grades 9-12) meet on Sunday night at 5:30 p.m.  A dinner is provided by volunteers followed by a scheduled activity, group program, or just "hanging out."  On Wednesday nights Senior High youth are involved in Bible Study during Koinonia, or at another youth's home during the time of year Koinonia is not scheduled.   Every other Wednesday, the youth will meet, at Lizards' Thicket, for breakfast before school for devotion and good food.  Throughout the year, the senior highs take part in other activities such as service projects (with Hot-dogs for the homeless and  the Souper Bowl of Caring) retreats (With Trinity Presbytery and on our own), overnight lock-ins, a ski trip and fundraisers for mission trips.  During the summer eligible Senior High youth attend the Montreat Youth Conference.  Another highlight of the summer is the weeklong summer mission trip, which has taken us to Mexico, Jamaica, Washington DC, Chicago, and Birmingham.  This Summer we will be taking part in a Mission trip in-state with the Salkehatchie Mission Program.  See the page 'Get Involved' to discover all the ways to be a part of Seven Oaks youth.

Our Senior high students are studying SEEDS OF FATIH as part of our Sunday School curriculum, which for their age group, involves studying the BOOK OF CONFESSIONS. When discussing the Creeds used by the PCUSA, these students came up with their own YOUTH CREED.

YOUTH CREED
* We believe in one God.
* We believe that God is all around us.
* We believe that God has given us special gifts that we can use for Him.
* We believe that God calls us to help others.
* We believe that God created all things.
* We believe that God loves us unconditionally.
* We believe in Life Everlasting.
* We believe that God loves every child as His own.
* We believe that He has shown us what is Good.
* We believe that Jesus died for our sins.
