Children’s Worship

Worship bags: Parents, you are invited to pick up worship bags for your children in the Children’s Corner before the worship service, for 4 years old to 5th grade. (located in the sanctuary near the restrooms).

Children (beginning at age 4) attend the first part of the worship service. After a brief children’s message designed especially for them, a children’s leader will escort them to the Children’s corner located in the sanctuary or they may return to sit with their parents for the remainder of the service.

Nursery for Children

A nursery is provided in Building A just behind the Sanctuary to the left (campus map PDF) during all worship services and Sunday School for infants and toddlers (birth-3 years old).

What We Believe

The 66 Books of the Bible are the primary source of the knowledge of God and God’s will. The Bible forms our foundation. It is the story of human interactions with God and forms the basis for knowledge and wisdom for daily living. It shows us how God intends for us to be. Sure SOPC has a mission statement and vision statement (see the home page) to guide us in today’s world, but it really boils down to a few simple guiding principles:

Love God. Love Others

“ ’Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’
This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’
All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” Mathew 22:37

Furthermore, we reaffirm our faith every Sunday by reading/reciting The Apostles’ Creed:

I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord; Who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; he descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

Looking to become a believer, grow in your spirituality, or maybe just satisfy your curiosity?

In any case, we look forward to meeting you!

“If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in him and he in God. And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him.” 1 John 4: 15
