 Welcome Visitors!
What should I expect when I visit?

No matter how friendly and welcoming a church is, visiting any church for the first time can be a little intimidating. You're probably wondering things like: What's the church like? Are they friendly? Will I fit in?

Hopefully the information included here can answer many of your questions to help make your first visit with us more relaxing and enjoyable.

Getting here is pretty easy. Check out our directions and maps for help.

Please enter in the driveway to the left of the sanctuary.  There is plenty of parking available. We have designated guest parking spots located in the parking lot immediately to the left of the sanctuary, but you can park in any parking space. Handicapped parking is available adjacent to the church office located behind and to the left of the sanctuary as you enter. Most of the parking is available behind the Fellowship Hall. Click here for a campus map.

The sanctuary is wheelchair-accessible via the side entrance nearest to the church office. Also available are large print hymnals and bulletins, wheelchairs, canes, and hearing aid devices. The ushers, greeters or any member will be glad to assist you.

Sunday Morning Worship

In worship we encounter the living God. We will boldly proclaim the Word of God, celebrate what He has done for us, rejoice in what He is doing, and praise Him for what He will do through us.

Our worship service begins at 11:00 a.m (10 a.m. during the summer). We have greeters at the main entrance to the sanctuary and ushers to give you a bulletin (and a child's bulletin) and to help you find a seat. There is plenty of seating available in the Sanctuary, either on the main floor or up in the balcony. Sit wherever you like.

Guests are never singled out or embarrassed. We won't ask you to stand or wear a nametag. Dress in whatever you feel comfortable. If you'd like, please complete the Friendship Register as it is passed to you.  Communion is celebrated in the pew the first Sunday of every month.  All baptized Christians are welcome to participate.

We have a nursery available during all worship services for infants and toddlers (0-3 years old).   Generally older children (4 years old to 1st grade) attend the first part of the worship service and then go to Children's Church after a brief sermon designed especially for them.

Please join us in the Fellowship Hall after the worship service for Cookies and Conversation. Coffee, lemonade and other light refreshments are available and, as the name implies, this is a great opportunity to get to meet people and make friends in a relaxed atmosphere.

Sunday Morning Classes

The journey of faith is a continual process. We always seek fresh, relevant, and innovative ways and opportunities for spiritual growth through study and Christian Education.

Sunday School classes begin at 9:45 a.m. (9:00 a.m. during the summer) every Sunday morning. The Sunday School Program is the heart of Christian Education. For adults there are several classes available. Adult Sunday school is not only an opportunity for Christian Education, it is a witness to our young people as to the importance we put on learning. It is also one of the best way to get to know other church members. You are encouraged to visit each class to discover which best suits you. Sunday School Classes are available for all ages. We have nursery care and children's classes, middle and high school classes available.

Seven Oaks is a friendly, family oriented, active congregation, mission dedicated, spiritually and musically rich. One new member said she felt 'warm fuzzies' right from the very beginning.  For over 40 years we have been making a difference in our community, faithfully adhering to our core Christian principles, encouraging knowledge and growth in Christian Education, and nurturing our children. It's a great place to raise a family!  We invite you to please browse around our website and discover the wonder of Seven Oaks and how you can be a part. Check out our Give Thanks>Time, Talent, Treasure page for involvement opportunities.  Or look over our Missions/Outreach Ministry page for our other care and concern activities where YOU can make a difference and spiritually grow in faith.  Do you like to ring and sing for joy?  Visit our Music page.  When you are comfortable and ready to make a commitment, see the FAQs for the various ways.  We believe that commitment strengthens the community of believers.  Visit as often as you like and..............

We look forward to meeting you!

"If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in him and he in God. And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him. "     1 John 4: 15-16
